Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

How AI is metered
Clip AI can run two ways, and only one of them costs you anything against your plan:
- On our key. Every plan, including Free, includes a token allowance on the model we host. Usage is measured in tokens over a rolling window — daily on Free, monthly on the paid plans. When the allowance runs out the assistant pauses until the window resets; nothing is charged for going over.
- On your own key. Connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or self-hosted endpoint and Clip AI is never metered — it costs us nothing, so we don’t count it. You pay your provider directly at their rates. This works on the Free plan.
AI is a feature of ClipSpaces, not a resold subscription to a third-party model. We do not sell tokens, credits or model access on their own.
How you pay
ClipSpaces uses two payment processors, chosen automatically from where you are, because no single one serves both audiences well. You can switch between them in Settings → Plans if the automatic choice is wrong for you.

Paddle acts as the merchant of record for payments it processes: Paddle.com Market Ltd is the seller on your invoice, handles sales tax and VAT, and appears on your statement. Paystack is a payment gateway, so on that rail ClipSpaces is the seller of record. Card details are entered on the processor’s own hosted page and are never seen or stored by ClipSpaces.
Billing terms
- Renewal. Card subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans every month, yearly plans every 12 months — until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plans. Cancelling stops the next charge; your paid features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to Free.
- Mobile money. Mobile money cannot authorise recurring debits, so a mobile-money payment buys a fixed term — one month or one year — that simply expires. Nothing auto-renews and there is nothing to cancel; we email you before the term ends.
- Changing plans. Switching plans starts a new subscription at the new price. Mid-cycle changes are not prorated on the Paystack rail.
- Refunds. 30 days, no questions asked — see the refund policy.
- Downgrades. Returning to Free never deletes your content. Spaces beyond the Free limit become read-only until you remove some or upgrade again.
Common questions
Do I need to pay to use ClipSpaces?
No. The canvas works fully offline in your browser with no account and no card, for an unlimited number of local boards. Paid plans exist for cloud sync, larger shared boards and AI on our key.
Is there a free trial?
The Free plan is the trial and it does not expire. Combined with the 30-day refund window, you can evaluate a paid plan at no risk.
Do you charge per seat?
No. A subscription belongs to one person, and the owner’s plan sets what each of their spaces can do. Collaborators you invite do not need their own paid plan to work on your board.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your account returns to the Free plan and its limits; your boards remain in your account and can always be exported. See the privacy policy for retention and deletion.
Who do I contact about billing?
Email support@clipspaces.app with the address on your account. For a payment Paddle processed, you can also reach Paddle directly at paddle.net, where invoices and receipts for your purchase are available.
